There seemed to be a big turnout for the Very Pink Run event in Bishopstown in Cork City with somewhere in the region of a 1000+ runners and walkers completing the 5k and 10k events. The 5k course was the one used for the Rebel Run 5k with the 10k participants completing two loops.
It's hard to know for sure how many took part as the event wasn't timed and all of the proceeds instead went to Breast Cancer Ireland.

Fabulous event - especially good for families of runners with kids, so much for them. Will be back next year for sure.
Yes a Very big turnout for a Very big cause. Very well organised and suited to runners of all abilities. I will do the Very Pink Run again next year if I'm still able. Well done to all the organiser's and participants.
An absolute fantastic event, so well organised, great atmosphere on the course with music along the way. I was walking the 10k & it was great to have a warm welcome when we finished as there was so much to keep everyone entertained nobody was rushing off
I would love to get results of the race.Yes a very enjoyable run
