The inaugural Garryvoe 5k road race was held back in late July and managed to raise €1810 for charity despite the wet weather.
The race was sponsored by Garryvoe Hotel and they sent on this message for all those who took part..."With your involvement, we had an extremely successful evening with all proceeds going to an amazing charity, the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dun Laoghaire. The total amount raised on the night was €1810.
We would very much like to make this an annual road race, and we look forward to attracting even more walkers and runners next year. "
