Charleville Half-Marathon now closed as it reaches 1400 limit

The 2017 Charleville Half-Marathon has now closed with the last of the 1400 entries going on Wednesday the 13th of September.

It's interesting to see how it compares to previous years. In 2015, there were 930 entries. In 2016, it sold out for the first time ever with the limit of 1100 being reached on Monday the 12th of September. This year, they had an extra 300 places and the limit was reached on the Wednesday before the race.

In the current climate with the sheer number of events, any race is doing well just to maintain their numbers. For the Charleville race to gain an extra 27% is pretty good and is testament to the hard work being put in by North Cork AC.
