Lovely course, enjoyable evening, special thanks to the "motivational band" (kids) beside Murphs restaurant.

What a great race!! Registration was fast efficient friendly and swift. A great course with a testing hill at the end. There was great support along the route - locals take a bow. The spread of food in the school was the best I have ever seen and included freshly smoked salmon. The organisers have cracked it - they have put together a fabulous event. If you are looking for a PB course, this is it. As for the view, yes it's beautiful, but we were going too hard to see it. Travelled an hour to run this, well worth the effort.

Hugely enjoyable event, very well organised and stewarded. Great scenery along the course, which is a bonus for slowies like me! Spread after was superb, I'm sure I saw what looked like smoked salmon vol au vents! And a unique factor of this race was the course was only 5 miles long, as per the race flier! Well done to all in East Ferry.

It did seem like the amount of runners was down on last year though.

It was a fantastic course and my 1st time doing it. Very enjoyable. The hill was actually fine i thought. Macroom park run hill is worse lol. Great support all along and the kids band was brill. Fantastic spread after. Well done to every one.I did it because i think this is part of the route for the half marathon down there in August so i wanted to check it out. Glad i did. Pity it was small numbers but with all the races on it is very hard to pick and choose. Will be back next year.

Absolutely super race. Great route, on a quiet country road, where we met not one car. And the views of Cork harbour !! Have to echo the previous comments - the kids band on the route was brilliant, and the spread of food afterwards was fit for a wedding. Plenty stewards and guards helping out with the race too. Cannot understand how this run doesn't attract more than 200 runners. How can a 5k on boring city streets attract 500+, and then gem only attract 200 ???
I will be back next year.

This is part of the full marathon course not part of the half marathon

Did this last year, but a couple of things going against it - it's very soon after the Cork marathon, another week would be better maybe. This year it also coincided with the start of the Euro 2016 games too which won't have helped numbers..
Beautiful course though!
