The inaugural 5km parkrun in Ballincollig Regional Park was held on Saturday the 18th of June 2016 and attracted a field of 279 runners. As you can see from the photo above, the start is quite narrow so as the weeks go on, the numbers should drop gradually which will make it less congested.

It's time to re-open Tramore Valley now -there won't be the same crowds there now that people in the City can go to the Park Run in Ballincollig instead. I'd imagine Ballincollig is a lot more scenic too!
