The Ballycotton 5 mile road race is the fourth and final race in the Ballycotton Summer Series. It is coming up next Thursday the 27th of August with a 7:30pm start.
Note that there are some road works on the main road between Cloyne and Shanagarry and this is likely to have an impact on how long it takes you to get there. See map below....

Alternative route:
From Cloyne to Shanagarry via the L-3818-0 and L-3818-27. At Garryvoe Cross Roads turn right to join the R632. Continue on the R632 to Shanagarry.
This alternative route is also applicable in the reverse when travelling from Shanagarry to Cloyne.
This proposed closure is to carry out Road Resurfacing Works.
As you can see from the map above, you can take the L3818 over to the Garryvoe-Ladysbridge road or if you know it, you could go as far as the turn south on the Shanagarry 5 mile course and come into Shanagarry that way. An alternative way is to go via Churchtown South.
Either way, it's not a big deal but you are likely to be delayed a bit. Between the road works, the 7:30pm start and the fact that the car parks are some distance from the race HQ, it would be worth leaving early.
