Notice...Rebel Run4Fun 5k Series, Ballincollig - July 27th, Aug 17th & Sept 20th

This new 5k series is an initiative by the Cork Sports Partnership and its aim is to try attract the recreational, beginner runner, and to promote the use of the Ballincollig Regional Park.

There are three 5k events in the series...There is a 5k race with chip timing on the Sunday 27th of July and the Saturday 20th of September. These cost €10 each if you pre-enter online before midnight on the previous Friday...Fri 25th July & Fri 19th Sept. Entry on the day is €15. These are very much similar to the usual type of race.

There is an 5k fun run on the Sunday 17th of August which costs €5 if you pre-enter online before midnight on Friday the 15th of August (€15 on the day). There is no chip timing for this event but Ballincollig AC will be recording times in the usual manual fashion and producing a set of results. This is more geared towards absolute beginners who might find the thought of doing a race a bit intimidating.

Refreshments of water, fruit and cereal bars sponsored by Lidl are available after each event.

From the organisers.......LIMITED TO 300 PARTICIPANTS per event. The inaugural Rebel Run 4Fun 5k Series will take place in Ballincollig Regional Park from July to September. There is something for everyone in this series, the regular runner, beginner jogger/walker and even the family can take part in the events. The series is designed to encourage people to get out and active over the summer months. Cork Sports Partnership is delighted to be able to organise and coordinate these events with the support of Ballincollig Athletic Club for the people of Cork to enjoy.

If you pre-register for all 3 events before the 25th of July then you get a dry fit running top.
