HOW IT WORKS
1) Go to the parkrun Ireland website and register. You will then be given a unique barcode which is how you are identified.
2) Just turn up to your local 5k parkrun at 9:30am on a Saturday morning with your bar code and run. At the finish line, you'll be given a finishing token.
3) Just after the finish line, there is a scan station. Someone will then scan your barcode and the finishing token. This matches you to a unique finishing position.
Just make sure that you do not take the finishing token home!
4) Someone else at the finish line will have recorded all the various finish times for each of the finishing positions. If you finished in say 50th position then your name will appear next to the 50th position in the results.
If you do not have a barcode then you will appear as Unknown in the results.
