This is a cracking race and I have just entered it. It is a PB course and I hope to do well. I will be using it as tune up for the Dublin marathon. It is very well organised and is a credit to North Cork AC and would be a ideal candidate for a national half marathon. That said though is there any justification in charging a "early bird" rate and then increasing it by a tennerby September? Races should discontinue this practice.
I have spent ages trying to enter the Charleville Half online.

Eventmaster appears to be bck onlinbe.
I finally got registered at 07:30, and it's still taking the "Early Bird Rate" :)
But...
It does not accept 089 telephone numbers. However it still shows 088 Eircell, which was phased out years ago...
Also it does not list Visa Debit, but it does lists "Laser" which has also been phased out...
I spent over a hour last night trying to get the early bird entry, but encountered the the same messages from the eventmaster site.
Is there any hope of an extension to the early bird rate.
Donal
The early bird rate of €35 has been extended to the 14th of August.
