The Morton Games were held on Wednesday evening (17th July 2013) in Santry, Dublin. Amongst a whole host of international athletes, there were a number of notable Irish performances.

In the mens 800m, Mark English from Donegal ran a new personal best
time of 1m 45.32s beating his old time of 1m 45.77s and won the race as
well! In the same race, Paul Robinson took over a full second off his
old personal best time when he ran 1m 45.86s. Paul was just outside the
medals when he finished 4th last weekend in the 1500m at the European
U23 Athletic Championships in Finland. In terms of all time Irish
performances, Mark jumps from 5th to joint 2nd fastest Irish man over
the distance. Paul jumps from 13th to 6th.

In the womens 800m, Laura Crowe from An Riocht AC in Kerry ran a new personal best time of 2m 02.63s, taking a sliver off her previous best which she set in the Oslo Diamond League meeting back in June.
