The large numbers did however cause a few problems as roughly 50 people left the finishing chute before being recorded. This in turn caused a lot of problems with the recorded times. The organisers asked me to mention that if you don't appear in the results, you should contact Rose at

As is customary with this race, half of the €10 entry fee goes to charity. Over €3,200 was raised for the bowel cancer unit in CUH.

Very lucky with the weather...Great Race ..well organised as usual....What a pity some runners did not stay in finish line..and as a result , made the job of organisers very difficult to process results !!!
One cannot blame the runners leaving the finish it was so slow There should have been at least two lines.If it had been wet a lot more would have left.The organisers know they get a big crowd every year and should prepare for it.The mile markers seemed to be out(again) as well.I also saw two people with race numbers running/finishing with dogs on leads ??
