If you suffer from pain or soreness in the front part of the lower leg when you run then it may be shin splints.

Whoah, that video really was the low down...short and sweet!
There is a lot more you can learn about prevention, treatment and eventual elimination of shin splints but the first thing you need to realise is that shin splint pain is not the problem...it is a symptom of the problem. To eliminate shin splints you have got to treat the cause otherwise you'll be plagued by them for as long as you run!
