The Great Pink Run is a charity 5k and 10k race held in Dublin at the end of August and this year attracted a combined field of over 3000 people. Both races were held on a 5km loop in the Phoenix Park.
Sonia O'Sullivan is involved in the promotion of this event and this year, she won the 10k race in a time of 40:14. As you can see from the splits below, she was about 30 seconds behind at the half-way mark but paced the race better to win by 7 seconds in the end.

Congratulations to the female winners of The Great Pink Run in Dublin last Saturday, Mary de Barra Rising Sun AC.,5K race and Sonia O Sullivan Ballymore Cobh AC 10K race, they certainly did Cobh proud!!!
