From the organisers... Preparations are well on the way for our annual Killeagh 4m road race which takes place on the 26th of February. This is an Athletics Ireland permitted event, chipped timed, on a fast course. The event is organised by the Killeagh healthy clubs committee in association with youghal AC and kindly supported by Nial Guerin Construction.

There will be the option of refreshments in the hall and also people have the choice  of availing of changing facilities and showers onsite

We also have a walk  which begins at 10am and is very popular with families

We are looking forward to welcoming people back to Killeagh for our 4mile race and showing them some great East Cork hospitality during and after the event.

Killeagh 4mile road race kindly sponsored by Niall Guerin Construction

Considering that Killeagh is on the N25 Cork-Waterford road, the race should have a pretty big catchment area.

As you can see from the course map below, the race takes in a loop to the west of Killeagh. The race finishes at the entrance to the Killeagh GAA grounds which is the race HQ. There will also be changing and shower facilities here.

Note from the organisers.....The race HQ is in Killeagh GAA complex. There is plenty on parking at the GAA grounds and there is a walk way through an estate to the start line.

We would like to thank Niall Guerin of Niall Guerin Construction, NGC for his continued sponsorship of our 4-mile race.

The race has AAI permit and is accurately measured by Jones Counter and will be chip timed.

There are prizes in all the age categories and loads of spot prizes as well with a great spread afterwards. There are also showers and changing facilities available and there is a walk taking place at 10am.
