Following on from the recent success of Irish athletes at the European Under 20 Championships, two articles by David Gillick and Sonia O'Sullivan ave been published recently looking at the future of Irish athletics.

Of all the performances at the U20 championships, it was the sprinters who really excelled. Gina Akpe-Moses won Gold in the 100m while the women's team finish 4th in the 4 x 100m relay.
In the 800m, John Fitzsimons won a Bronze while Michaela Walsh won a Bronze in the Hammer.
