The numbers for the 5k parkrun in Ballincollig Regional Park are holding up well with 194 turning out for the 7th edition on Saturday the 30th of July 2016.

In other parkrun news, there was an article in the Evening Echo during the week about a local councillor calling for the Tramore Valley Park to open to the public. Again, funding seems to be the issue and almost certainly nothing is going to happen in 2016.
Elsewhere, there is talk of a new parkrun in Listowel in Co.Kerry.
