Last Friday on the 28th of March, Joe Gough of West Waterford AC won the World Masters 800m Indoor Title at the World Masters Indoor Championships in Budapest. Joe won the O60 age category in a time of 2.15.08. According to a report from Athletics Ireland...."Gough stormed around the last 200m in 30 seconds to clinch the title ahead of Nolan Shaheed (United States) second in 2.16.18 and Francois Martel (Canada) third in 2.18.98."
On the Sunday, Brian Lynch won the M60 title in the1500m race with Joe Gough finishing third this time...

W55 Shot Put...Mary Barrett finished third in this competition with 10.64 metres.
