Haile Gebrselassie of Ethiopia sets new Marathon record...
The Berlin Marathon was on today and Haile Gebrselassie of Ethiopia won it in a time of 2 hours 3 minutes and 59 seconds which was a new world record time. Before you get out those calculators, that is an average speed of 4m 44s per mile!! Incredible. Here is a short video clip...(in German!!)
You can find a shorter English version at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_Yk1xeSLRk
...and by the way, considering that there has been a big debate going on here recently on this blog regarding prizes for men over 35, Gebrselaisse is currently 35 years old.
