Results of the 5k parkruns around the county on Saturday 2nd March 2024. Approximately 969 runners and walkers took part in the 10 events in Co Cork.
Report... The weather forecast was pretty much spot on for Co Cork with dry weather and a cold northerly wind. Looking at the weather reports, it was about 5-6 deg C when the parkruns were on.
Ballincollig... There were two milestones reached this week.
Maria Madigan on the left completed her 200th 5k parkrun! 196 out of the 200 have been at the Ballincollig event.
Ciara O'Keefe on the right joins the century club with her 100th parkrun! Ciara has done 56 in Ballincollig and another 24 on Bere Island. Ciara's first 5k parkrun was on Bere Island on the 29th of August 2015.

Glengarriff... Well done to 11-year old Pippa O’Sullivan who completed her 100th 5k parkrun today!
Pippa did 93 of the parkruns at Glengarriff and her first 5k parkrun was there as well on the 10th of Aug 2019.
If I missed anyone who passed a notable milestone like 100, 200, 250 or above parkruns then let me know.
