Notice: Midleton 5 mile road race - Thurs 5th May 2022

The annual Midleton 5 mile road race is coming up this year on Thursday the 5th of May 2022 at 8pm. This is organised by Midleton AC and is always a popular race with runners in Cork.

Online Entry fee €15. Race entry fee on the night is also €15.

The conveniently located Market Green Shopping Centre with ample parking will serve as the race night HQ for number collection, post-race refreshments & prize giving.

Start Time Thursday 5th May 2022 - 8pm sharp

Race HQ Foyer of Market Green Shopping Centre, Midleton.

Start Location Approx. 0.4miles from race HQ to starting line

Finish Location Approx 0.75mile from finishing line back to race HQ

Timing Chip timing mats at both the start & finish lines.

Facilities Toilets at HQ at the start in Market Green Shopping Centre. No changing rooms or showers.

Post-Race Refreshments after race in HQ with prizes at 9.15pm

Prizes Top 5 male & female finishers, top 3 M40-45-50 & F35-40-45, top 2 M55-60 & F50-55, 1st M65-70 & F60-65, WC, MJ, FJ, Midleton AC Male & Female.

Bonus for breaking course records; 24m40s (Male) 28m55s (Female)

Directions: Travelling from the Cork City direction, take the first exit on the N25 for Midleton. Continue straight through the next junction. Turn left at the small roundabout outside the Midleton Park Hotel for Market Green, where you will find ample parking

Transport: Midleton is accessible by public transport with both bus & rail stops within easy walking distance of HQ in Market Green

Race Rules: Please follow the directions of race stewards.

No headphones (to allow you hear stewards and other runners)

No walkers, bikes, buggies or dogs.

Race HQ...The race HQ like last year is in the Market Green Shopping Centre in Midleton.

There is plenty of parking there and it's pretty close to the start and finish lines.
