11 Irish runners finish the 2021 Marathon Des Sable Ultra Race

Wikipedia describes it as follows... "Marathon des Sables, or MdS, is a six-day, 251 km ultramarathon, which is approximately the distance of six regular marathons. The longest single stage is 91 km long. This multiday race is held every year in southern Morocco, in the Sahara Desert. It has been regarded as the toughest foot race on Earth."

This year, there were 753 registered runners with 352 finishing the grueling course.

753 Registered / 352 Finishers / 320 DNF (Did Not Finish) /81 DNS (Did Not Start)

An impressive 11 runners from Ireland completed this years race which was the 35th edition.

I'm not sure how many are from Cork but anyone can let me know what county they're from then I'll update the post.
