Out of curiosity if nothing else, why was there a limit put on the numbers running in this race this year ? I have ran in it the last couple of years, and I felt there was plenty scope for more runners there. Its a country village, and the route is almost primarily run on quiet country roads.
Puzzled, to say the least !!!

Hi JohnnyG, Reason for the limit is that's how many Mugs we ordered, basing it off the numbers who have ran the race in previous years. We were delighted to see such a huge interest and as a result we announced a further 100 , but advising people they would not get a cup on the morning , but would get 1 for them as soon as we get our new order in. The race is now 100% sold out and we will not be taking walk-ins on the morning. Hope to see you outside. Liam
