From the organisers.......Come join us Thursday 13th September for our ALONG THE BLUE & GREEN 5K Road Race/Walk in aid of the National Rehabilitation Hospital. Registration costs €10 and ALL proceeds will go the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dublin who do such amazing, inspirational work.
Enjoy this super-scenic route along breathtaking Garryvoe Beach and the verdant Coast Road with prizes and refreshments on the night sponsored by the Garryvoe Hotel – Everyone is welcome from runners to walkers/ strollers and dogs (on a lead!). ALONG THE BLUE & GREEN is officially licensed by Athletics Ireland and will be chip timed. Walkers start 6.30pm; Runners start 7.30pm

I would think a 8 o'clock start on the 13th September is too late, St Lukes 5k the previous week starts at 7.
Absolutely as it will surely make it dangerous for those further down the field of competitors and which is bound to put people off
Note that the start time has now been changed to a 7:30pm instead of 8pm.
Very fine time am so glad that the organisers have had the vision to see the necessity for this change
Sunset is 19.52 today according to weather app, so could be dangerous depending on the evening.
