As outlined in a previous post, the Cork BHAA Gas Networks Ireland 5k road race is coming up in Cork City on Sunday the 1st of March at 11am.
One of the features of this event is that they are giving out dry fit tops to the first 500 to enter on the day. Considering that the race only costs €5 for registered runners then it's really good value. Even the non-reg entry fee of €8 is pretty good. Remember, it's the first 500 to enter, not the first 500 across the finish line. Get there early.
The flat course being used is the exact same as the one for the John Buckley Sports 5k. You can find out more info about it here... http://munsterraceroutes.blogspot.ie/2013/01/cork013.html
All proceeds from the race go towards the Rebel Wheelers charity....see the race notice
From the organisers....A free racing t-shirt is on offer for the first 500 to register for the Gas Networks Ireland BHAA 5k run that takes place in Cork Marina this Sunday March 1st. Registration from 9.30am with the race start at 11am. The race is part of the Cork Business Houses Athletics Association (BHAA) programme and runners of all abilities and fitness levels are welcome to take part. All entry proceeds will go to Rebel Wheelers, a sports club supporting children with physical disabilities. Further information on www.corkbhaa.com.
