Just be aware that the smoke from the fires on Slievenamon is over east Cork at the moment. The photo shows the view from a hill near Passage West and you can see the smoke to the east of Midleton. This was taken at 4pm on Wed 22nd of July 2026. As of 6pm, it is moving west towards Cork city. It might be of interest to anyone walking or running this evening and is very sensitive to small particulates.
