Results of the 5k parkruns around the county on Saturday 3rd February 2024. Approximately 1031 runners and walkers took part in the 10 events in Co Cork.
Report... There was a touch of Spring in the air for this weeks 5k parkruns in Co Cork with the thermometer reading 11 deg C at Cork Airport this morning. While conditions were dry in Cork City, it looks as if it was a bit wet in West Cork.
Glengarriff... Well done to Margaret Lavin who completed her 100th 5k parkrun in Glengarriff this morning! Margaret did 97 of the 100 at Glengarriff and her first 5k parkrun was in Glengarriff back on the 30th of January 2016.
Clonmel... Well done to Donal Fallon who completed his 100th 5k parkrun in Tipperary today!
Even though Donal hit the century mark in Clonmel, most of his 5k parkruns have been in Cork with 33 in Mallow, 19 at Macroom, 8 in Ballincollig and the rest at a large number of other venues. Donal did his first 5k parkrun in Macroom on the 21st of January 2017.
Glen River... It's also worth noting those volunteer milestones as we'd have no parkruns without them! Well done to Mary O'Halloran who clocked up her 100th volunteer credit at the Glen River parkrun this week where she was the run direcctor.

Clonakilty... The 5k parkrun in Clonakilty marked it's 10th birthday today!
Ballincollig... Another milestone of note! Donal Fennessy completed his 200th 5k parkrun.
