The inaugural Mallow Castle Junior 2km parkrun was held on Sunday the 11th of June 2023 with 92 completing the course. That's an impressive number for a first outing and it shows that there was demand for an event of this type in the town.
Looking at the population stats for 2016, Mallow and Midleton are about the same size so there is surely a case for a junior parkun in Midleton as well if a suitable venue can be found? Carrigaline is even larger so a junior parkrun there could be even more popular.

Was a Marshall for the first junior parkrun & I must say fab turnout & fab job done by all & this first ever junior parkrun down by the riverwalk & Castle
