Those runners pushing/walking over/on top of should be embarrassed for themselves. For what, save 10 seconds of their time? Someone could have been seriously injured or worse and they just want to stampeed through.
I wouldn't fancy just standing there either! And get flattened.
They were being pushed from the surge from behind - I don't think it was as malicious as you're trying to make it - is one person really gonna to be able to stop, pull someone up when you've thousands pushing from behind?
