Great to see pacers in a 5 Mile race :) !!

I believe there was one runner over 80. Surely some recognition is merited in the form of a prize? He is an example to all of us!

I make a special effort to make this race every year. Excellent organisation, great support & wonderful atmosphere around the course.
Well done Midleton AC.

Having pacers in a 5 mile road race is farcical. Race pacing is a feature of racing that an individual should develop over time. Having a pacer in a 5 mile race if anything is a hindrance to runners developing the ability to race at their own pace.

Some of the course surface on miles 3 and 4 road was shocking.. In general the roads are getting worse for running everywhere.. we will all be crocked

Nobody is being forced to run with the pacers. They're there as an option if people want them, nothing wrong with that.

I found the pacers a big help. Everyone is different-- if you don't like the pacers ignore them.

Great race, the pacers really helped me in the race, I was able to achieve the time I wanted, otherwise I would have drifted back, we are not all super athletes or have fancy speed watches.
