To be honest, running around hall would drive me bananas! But I'd happily make a donation to East Cork Rapid Response, is that possible?

rstfThat is going to involve running on synthetic floors with lots of turn and twists. For anyone to run a marathon like that it's going to put a lot of stress on the skin of the foot, ankles etc. with a risk of sprained ankles etc. It sounds to me like a not very good idea. Would I suggest that someone try doing a quarter marathon on it first, and report back??

Well said John, I am part of the organising team and we are all experienced marathon runners. This is being done for a very worthy cause and god forbid any of us or our families ever need their services. It is being organised as a fun event and we hope the cork running community will support us.

Many Thanks,

Seize the moment and think of the great cause you are supporting. Sounds like a great idea and people here in my work place are really looking forward to it, 4 in our company have signed up so far. See you there john!!!!

Folks,
This is a great a idea, so just go for it! However, I'd suggest not going for a marathon PB as corners etc should be negotiated carefully to avoid injury. The aim should be simply to finish & of course enjoy.

Mad idea but brilliant. Agree with others that it is not a PB thing but just a different challenge. The cause is good and hopefully we will never need it but nice to know its there and support it.
Well done to those who are trying to make a difference in their Community.
