This 10 km road race in West Cork had an entry of 205 runners on what was supposed to be a challenging course with some serious hills in it. One competitor described it as..."Over all a very nice scenic run but not one for a personal best."
The mens race was won by Michael Dullea in 36:14 while the ladies race was won by Liz Barry in 42:01.
