I set off for this race with the rain bucketing down outside in the hope that the weather satellite photo might be right and it might just clear up in time for the race. And so it turned out to be with the rain stopping about 7:50pm and the race took place in what were in the end near perfect conditions. A total of 188 runners took part in the race which was slightly down on last year. No doubt, the poor weather earlier had persuaded a good few people to stay away. For those that did turn out, they were rewarded with what must be one of the fastest if not the fastest 5 mile circuits around. We started up on a hill above the town and the first 2 miles were very fast with lots of downhill running. The last 3 was more or less pretty flat. No doubt, a lot of people went home with new personal bests under their belts.

The results format are dreadful, it's hard to make head or tale of them, organisers should go to the effort of re doing them so that people can read them correctly.
I had a look at them again and I can't see anything wrong with them. Page 1 has the the results for 1 to 120 in 3 neat columns. Positions 121 to 188 are on page 2.
I looked at them with Microsoft Word and with Internet Explorer 8 and they are indentical. Nothing looks out of place. Are you seeing 3 columns or are the results mixed up???
I have no problem with the results format and thought the race was great, and well organised, but i would have preferred to see bigger mile markers, it can be hard to see the painted ones on the road. Luckily there were some observant runners around me who managed to spot each one! It was great to see the blue skies at five to 8!
There all on the same page and all mixed up no page 1 or 2 or anything like that.
ok...the problem seems to have been that the original results were done up in Microsoft Word. If you had Word on your PC then you saw everything ok. If not, then you got garbage.
I have now changed the results over onto Google Docs. Try that and see if they are ok now.
Google 1
Microsoft 0
Yes they are easy to read now thank you.
The course was so ridiculously fast(so much downhill) that I'm totally disregarding the "new PB" that I set. Sure I'd nearly run a 4 min mile if I ran down the side of a mountain...doesn't count!
