Darragh McElhinney sets new Junior Indoor 5000m record of 14.13

How about this for a time! Darragh McElhinney of Bantry AC set a new Irish Indoor 5000 metre record of 14 minutes and 13.68 seconds on Saturday at a competition in Athlone.

The former indoor record of 14m 37.02s was set by Aaron Hanlon in Boston, USA in December 2014.

Darragh is currently 18 years old and will be 19 next November.
