Update on the 5k parkrun in the Glen Park in Cork City

Back at the end of May 2018, I had a post up about the proposed new weekly 5k parkrun in the Glen in Cork City.

So far, a small team of about 10-11 people have expressed an interest in helping to get it up and running.

Cork Local Sports Partnership have organised a meeting at the Glen Resource Centre at 6:30pm on Wednesday June 27th 2018.

If you want to help out or even to find out more about it then try to attend this meeting.

The contact for this new proposed parkrun is John Kissane and you can contact John at  john DOT kissane AT parkrun DOT com

It would be more suited to be a junior park run as the laps required for a 5k would be to many.

Would be great if there was a park run there, er start with a lap around the pitch for the crowd to spread out and would be grand

If you look at the parkrun in Macroom, it's looks as if the place is too small but these squeeze one in. They will probably get a 5k course into the Glen as well.
