Cork runners help exhausted participant across the line

One of the most iconic images of the 2018 Cork City Marathon has to be the one taken by Kieran Minihane of an exhausted runner being assisted down Patrick's Street by two complete strangers.

One of the men pictured giving his assistance was Philip Gillivan who was taking part in the half marathon. In response to a question about the image, he said ..."I saw a guy ahead with legs like Bambi. He was like a newborn foal. A guy on the left started linking him so I just jumped in and helped on the other side and the three of us stumbled across the line together”.

There are thousands of photos of the 2018 Cork City Marathon, Half-Marathon & Relay linked in this previous post... Results & Photos of the 2018 Cork City Marathon... http://corkrunning.blogspot.com/2018/06/results-photos-of-2018-cork-city.html
