Located in the heart of Cork City, this is going to be popular with a lot of runners. 10 miles is a favourite distance for a lot of people as can be seen by the huge numbers doing the various 10 milers like Dungarvan and Ballycotton in the Spring.
As 10 mile courses go, this is up there with the fastest of them and takes in the flat walkways around Mahon and Blackrock.

Why is this placed the week before Charleville?
Would love to include it in build-up for Dublin but Charleville will take priority again this year.
This is a "restructure" of the St finbarrs half marathon. It's been on the cork race calendar on the same weekend for at least 15 years (but I think as far back as 1991). So think it's only fair they continue to have it on the same weekend since charleville started 3 years ago
Great race last year on a lovely flat course. I intend to this and Charleville and throw a few miles extra both days as training for Dublin. It is so easy to get a long run this way with plenty of support and water along the way. Far easier than slogging the roads alone for a 15 - 18ml. Best of luck StFinbarrs and would recommend it to anyone
Why do people moan about races and when they are on?It's on a week before Charleville.Perfect time for recovery.I am doing the Joh Buckley race and the Half in Dublin which is the day before Charleville.6 days is still plenty of time for good rest.
Do you use races as training runs? If so, 1 week recovery is fine. But running hard for 10 miles might take a little longer to recover from, no? Or maybe I am getting too old for this. When I race, which isn't often, I hope to post a PB.
I can't login to precision timing to register? Anyone have this issue??
I'm unable to log in also. Do the organisers have an explanation & a date when PT website will be available
I'm not sure what the issue is with the Precision Timing website because every time I check it, it's fine.
Are people getting confused by the "The option entry is not available at this time." message?
Just click on the Blue "Register €25.00" button.
