Reminder...Carrigtwohill 5k road race - Wed 15th July 2015

Just a reminder that the Carrigtwohill 5k road race is coming up on Wednesday the 15th of July at 8pm. After a damp and dreary Tuesday, the weather forecast for the race is a lot better.

The organisers will have an entry desk open from about 1pm at Barryscourt Castle so you can pre-enter if you are passing. The bulk of entries will likely be from 7pm onwards although they ask that you get there early as this is a popular race.

Runners are also asked NOT to park on the roads near the Castle as this just narrows the course for the race. Race stewards will be directing cars to the main car park in a large field and runners are asked to use this.

This is one of the most popular 5k races in East Cork and the castle makes for a unique location.

Hi guys,
Just wanted to say another great Carrigtwohill race. One of my favs of the year ... great atmosphere, kiddie friendly, really well organised and the best spread afterwards, which cannot be beaten by ANY race I've been to! This year especially the organisation was fantastic and the sun came out for us. Great to run in a race where you know the entrance fees go to local charities.
Thanks a mill to all the organisers who made it such a fun evening.
