At the end of last week, Thomas Barr of Ireland won Gold in the 400m hurdles at the World University Games in Gwangju, South Korea. The Ferrybank AC athlete won the race in a time of 48.78 seconds which is just outside his own Irish record of 48.65 seconds which he set in Rome in June.
