Fota Cheetah Run video goes viral...

As many of you will know, the Cheetah Run was held in Fota Wildlife Park back on the 17th of May. In the results post, I have a video clip which was made by the marketing manager Stephen Ryan on his iPhone which showed the animals running alongside the runners during the race.

This video clip which is on YouTube started off mainly getting hits from people who had run in the race. It was slow to take off at first but eventually, it got more and more plays and it now has been viewed around 23,000 times.

As a result, it also got picked up by some of the world's media including the UK edition of the Huffington Post, The Telegraph and ITN.

In the USA, it was shown on Good Morning America on ABC...

In a recent interview, Stephen Ryan of Fota said....."A lot of the media in the US is dominated by TV — TV is king — and this is marketing gold for us. So to think that this clip was screened to about 6m viewers across the States as they ate breakfast is fantastic. It’s certainly the biggest exposure we’ve ever had in the US. Tourism Ireland would pay a fortune to get coverage like this.”
