Results of the Midleton 5 Mile road race - Thurs 6th May 2010....
There was no sign of the race numbers falling away in Midleton on Thursday evening with a record turnout. A total of 329 runners took part which is 35 up on last year's record number of 294 which in turn had been up 54 on the 2008 figure. A figure of 35 may not seem like much but it's still roughly 10% up on last year.

The full results can be seen HERE

Really enjoyed the race last night. Lovely course, perfect conditions and what a spread of food afterwards! Best after race food I've ever seen. Well done to all. A very enjoyable evening.

a perfect evening for the race and a nice route (my first time running this one). Oh, and a big thank you to all those who put on such a great spread in the clubhouse after, great grub!

Great race. No music, but I liked the 'drumming' as we went over the cattlegrids!

Food...I was stuffed and there was still some left over afterwards.

It was great to see some of the entry fee go to the 'Let's Get Together' charity - €650. Pat Buckley spoke briefly when he was accepting the cheque and you could hear a pin drop while he was talking.

It's great to have a good race, its even better when you see a good cause like this being aided - particularly when this charity needs help so very, very badly.

i agree with everyone! The race was really lovely!! Was a little surprised at the turn out as the run is so nice to do. It has the potential to take bigger numbers. What this space I'd say! Well done to midleton AC!
