Weather forecast for the Cork BHAA 'Cork to Cobh' 15 mile road race - Sun 5th Oct (Updated Sat 7pm)
First of all, a note of caution. There are plenty of websites on the Internet predicting what the weather will be like...some look 5 days ahead, some 7 days. A lot of these sites are useless.
As you would expect, the weather forecast gets a lot more accurate as we closer to the day in question.

It looks like we are going to be really lucky with the weather for this one. There are weather fronts passing over on Saturday and on Monday with a clear spell on Sunday sandwiched in between. The forecast is for Saturday to be wet, especially around midnight. That wet weather will clear early on Sunday morning and it now looks as if the front will be well gone by the time we start the race. Compared to Saturday, it looks as if Sunday will be a pretty nice day.
Met Eireann are no longer talking about any mist and are now saying ...."Any rain in the far southeast will clear away during the early morning, as brighter conditions spread from the north.". The wind looks like it will be light to moderate and from the North so it will be behind us for the 2nd half of the race.

Help Wanted....For those of you not running, can you help out on Sunday??? They are looking for helps with the stewarding and the water stations. 15 miles is a long race and there are plenty of road junctions that need stewards there to slow the traffic down. If you can help, please phone John Mohally at 4541384 or 087 9533798
