Curraghbinny is about 7km east of Carrigaline, south of R613. This beautifully located wooded peninsula overlooks Cork Harbour. It has a lovely network of trails through mixed woodland with fine views across the harbour to Cobh and Crosshaven.

Start and finish will be at the main car park area. Parking is quite limited, so car pool if you can.

Note that the distance is only 5kms so this is a good one if you haven't tried a trail race before. You need to have annual IMRA membership (€10) to do this one and you need to pre-enter.

Currabinny Woods is a few kms from Ringaskiddy in Cork harbout.

The Munster Mountain Running Association are holding a 6.6 km trail race in Currabinny Woods on Sunday the 2nd of February 2020.

From the organisers...Race 3 of the Munster Trail Running League brings us to Curraghbinny Woods, outside Carrigaline, Co. Cork.

Adult Race at 11:00am // Junior Race at 10:30am

It will have our first 'Try a Trail' event at 09:40am.  Anyone wishing to try running in the woods but thinks they are, too slow, too unfit, afraid if the terrain, not sure what to wear etc..,just register with IMRA for 2020 €10 and then turn up for 9:40am or earlier on the morning , you do not pay for the run itself, this is to introduce you to running on trails..and we will guide you around so you will not get lost. The run (or walk or hike, whatever way you choose) will start in main car park at 10am sharp, it will be approx 3kms. Just make sure you are registered online and collect your number before you start.

The main 6.6km event starts at 11am.

Notice : MMRA Halloween Trail Run in Currabinny Woods - Thurs 25th Oct 2018

The Munster Mountain Running Association are holding a special themed Halloween Run in Currabinny Woods on Thursday the 25th of Oct 2018. This is open to adults and children alike.

From the organisers...Currabinny Woods Trail Run
Kiddies: 7:00pm
Adults 7:40pm

Kiddies: (Must be accompanied) 2km Trail Run (torches essential!) collect candy as you run through the woods at night !!!!

Adults 5km Trail Run 7:40pm (headtorches essential)
Fancy dress if possible !!!!

This is an imra race, please sign up on imra.ie to become a member before turning up. No membership on the night , it is €3 to join imra for rest of year.
All running adults MUST be members before coming to race.
Kids do not need to be members.

The Munster Mountain Running Association are holding a special themed Halloween Run in Currabinny Woods on Thursday the 26th of Oct 2017. This is open to adults and children alike.

The entry fee is actually going to be €6 for IMRA members and non-IMRA members just need to pay an extra €1 registration fee (€7 total) as it's the last race of the year.

From the organisers.....Great race had by all. Great excitement in the adult race but especially the Kids race. We had 85 kids running through the woods with headtourches and finding sweets... serious buz in the woods that night. Have to make it a yearly occurance !!
