The 2026 Carrigaline 5-mile road race was held this year on Sunday 15th of July on what turned out to be a dry sunny morning. There was 282 finishers which is almost the exact same as last year.

Eagle AC are organising their annual 5 mile road race in Carrigaline on Sunday, the 15th of February 2026 at 10am - NOTE THE EARLIER START TIME

Online entries are now closed but you can still enter on the day from 8:30am.

• Start Time 10am!! 

• Race day Registration & Number collection from   8:30am in Carrigaline Community Complex

• Arrive early – parking not available at Carrigaline Community Complex.

 • Bypass Rd & Church Rd carparks nearby.

• No headphones – roads open to traffic

• Start line: Church Road (5‑min walk)

• Finish line: Corlin Business Park

• No water stops on course, water available at the finish line.

• Tea, coffee & treats back in the hall after

• Top 5 prizes presented at the finish line

• Category/team prizes via QR codes in the hall. Scan, check & collect at prize desk!

• Unclaimed prizes can be collected at The Edge Sports until March 14th.

Mark Walsh of Leevale AC wins the 2025 Carrigaline 5m road race

The annual Tommy Ryan Memorial 5-mile road race in Carrigaline was held on Sunday the 16th of February 2025 with 281 runners crossing the finish line. Despite the weather forecast for loads of rain, it amounted in the end to nothing more than a few spits.

Eagle AC are organising their annual 5 mile road race in Carrigaline on Sunday, the 18th of February 2024 at 11am.

Update 17th Feb 2024: The organisers have announced that they will be taking entries on the morning before the race.

Additional course bonus of €250 for Lizzie Lee for breaking 28-mins

The annual Carrigaline 5-mile road race was held on Sunday the 19th of February 2023 with 326 runners crossing the finish line, that's up 17% on the 278 last year.

The weather conditions this year were pretty much ideal whereas last year was damp so an increase in numbers might be expected. The key point here though is that the additional €2 from the new Athletics Ireland 'One-Day Licence' doesn't seem to have had much of an impact on the numbers in this race.
