Runners in Cork with 250 or more 5k parkruns - End Q3 2026

The parkrun organisation have a number of milestones going from 25 to 1000 parkruns. The thing about milestones is that they are open to everyone and anyone can aspire to reach a certain level.

Just under 100 people have now passed the 250 mark and it's a significant achievement as it takes at least five years to complete. It's a big change from three years ago when I started this list and there were only 20 with 250 or more parkruns.

Criteria... As with any list, there must be some sort of guideline or rules. The criteria I went with are simple...

At least 100 of the 5k parkruns must be in Co Cork
Only the information on the parkrun website counts

I'm sure there are plenty of people in Dublin and elsewhere who are over 250 but this post is about the parkruns in Cork.

Over 300 5k parkruns completed...

The top three parkrunners in Co Cork are all at the Bere Island event. Joanne Sullivan became the first person in Co Cork to complete 500 parkruns back in August. Both Edel Murphy and Finola Crowley are on track to hit the 500 mark by the end of the year.

Kerry Constant in sixth place is on 457 parkruns and completed his 100th 5k parkrun in Co Cork recently.

250 to 299 5k parkruns completed...

You'll notice a pattern above as the likes of Ballincollig, Glengarriff and Macroom are now running long enough that regulars are beginning to pass the 250 mark.

I'll have a look at the top volunteer list next week.

Errors & Omissions... If you know of any runner of volunteer from Cork missing who might at 250 or more, leave a comment with their name and parkrun number.
