The organisers of the Tramore 5k parkrun in Waterford have cancelled their event until further notice.
As the photo shows below, access to parts of the course has been blocked by wooden barriers.
From my understanding of the situation, this part of the parkrun course ran through a nature area which is on private land. The land owner has now blocked access.
The map below shows the parkrun course and the part that is impacted is the eastern loop on the right hand side.
The Tramore 5k parkrun is one of only two in Co Waterford and was a reasonably large event getting an average of 162 finisher per week since the start of 2026.
The Tramore parkrun has been running since February 2016.
