Elle O'Sullivan McCarthy completes 250km run from Dublin to Cork in 4-days...

Well done to Elle O'Sullivan McCarthy who completed her 4-day journey from the historic GPO in Dublin to Cork County Hall, a distance of some 250 kilometres.

Along the way, she was joined by RTÉ Sports Broadcaster Jacqui Hurley and professional rugby player Alex Kendellen.

From the HOPE Foundation... "Thank you to all of our Run Sponsors - we are so grateful for the support. Thank you also to An Garda Siochana for escorting Elle safely into Cork City and for everyone cheering her on along the way.

There is still time to donate to Elle's incredible effort here: https://www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/dublintocork "

Along the way, Elle had to contend with a wide variety of weather conditions from sunshine to rain.

On Sunday the 14th of September, there was an emotional welcome for Elle at the end of her 250km journey at the Cork County Hall.

Over the years, we've seen runners complete the Malin to Mizen challenge but it's interesting to see a variation of this.
