| Barry Twohig of St Finbarr's AC is the first man home in the IMRA trail race in Garryduff Woods |
A total of 72 runners took part in this IMRA 6.5km trail race in Garryduff Woods on Wed 3rd May 2023. As can be seen from the photo above, it was a lovely sunny evening and ideal conditions for a trail race.
The photo above shows Barry Twohig who finished first but you'll also notice behind him that the trail is covered in tree roots. This section of woods was particularly tricky as the runners had to watch their footing like a hawk so as not to trip.

The first female home was Nicole Dinan of Leevale AC. While Nicole is a Junior runner now, we'll no doubt see that name on the podium in future road races.
