Kate Veale of West Waterford AC took another huge step back to the top level of race walking this morning at the national 20 k championships held in St Anne's Park Raheny Dublin. Kate took gold in a huge new personal best 1.37.54 knocking almost 5 minutes off her previous best .
Kate's time also was inside the qualifying times for two significant races in 2019
The European cup of race walking and the World universities games but she will have to wait as selection will be decided by Athletics Ireland in the near future.
