It seemed only appropriate that the warmest day of the year so far in 2018 also coincided with the first major race of the Summer road race season in Cork with a whopping 826 runners taking part. Conditions were almost perfect with some nice sunshine for the whole race, something we haven't seen a lot of of late.
It was also a big race for East Cork AC after two of their members took the respective titles. Michael Harty's time of 19:15 was also a new course record while Fiona Santry won the women's race for the first time.

What a fantastic event. They had everything covered. From zoned times, PA, results board, the spread afterwards. Well done Ballintotis & community, other races have alot to live up too.
