Races and events next weekend...Sat 28-Sun 29 Apr 2012

Just a quick look ahead to some of the events next weekend that might be of interest.....

Saturday 28th Apr.......

Cork....Monster MAC Multi-Sport Adventure Race......This event is coming up on Saturday in the Millstreet Country Par and involves running, cycling and kayaking. More info on the Running in Munster site.

Sunday 29th Apr.....

Kerry......There is a brand new 10 mile road race in Castleisland, Co.Kerry. This one will be of particular interest to those in Kerry, West Limerick and North Cork. The entry fee is €30 and includes a dry-fit top as well as two free passes to the state of the art gym there which can be used at a later date. Proceeds from the race will be used for the upkeep of the outdoor track in Castleisland which I understand is the only one in Kerry and is a vital resource for athletics in the region. Cork...For those of you who fancy something shorter, there is a 5 mile race in Glounthaune just to the east of Cork City. This will start at 10:30am. More details in a later post...

Cork...For anyone interested in Track and Field, Riverstick /Kinsale AC are holding their annual open sports at the Riverstick GAA grounds. For adults, there is a 100m and 1500m race on a grass surface. Details HERE.
